The ATSC997 is an ATSC signal source that provides an 8VSB modulated output signal for all UHF-VHF channels. A built-in fully agile modulator combined with a variable attenuator allows the user to vary both frequency and level output. This unit has DVD, parallel (LVDS/TTL), and ethernet inputs and can also record or import transport streams. The optional 8VSB Demodulator allows the unit to receive, tune, and demodulate an 8VSB channel to a parallel ATSC data stream for direct off-the-air recording. The ATSC997 is designed to support all 18 of the ATSC formats for digital television, and supports FCC, IRC, and HRC cable plans and has IF loop-through for combining with an external upconverter.
This unit was just decommissioned from the EE lab of a major manufacturer that closed a facility, and it is in excellent condition. It has the 8VSB Receiver (Demodulator) card option, and it is also optioned with the extended playtime option (240 minutes instead of 120). Retail on this unit is about ,000 with no options. It comes with the manual, and I'm selling it guaranteed working and as described.
